Wood

The timeless elegance of earth

Wood and plywood are versatile, strong and durable materials.
To keep your furniture looking as good as it did on the first day, follow a few simple care rules:

  • Use a soft cloth to clean wooden and plywood furniture;
  • Avoid harsh chemical cleaners — a mild soap solution works well for gentle cleaning and won’t damage the surface;
  • Keep your furniture out of direct sunlight. Short exposure will do no harm, but constant sunlight may cause the colour to fade over time. Note that wood and plywood are not suitable for outdoor use;
  • Our moisture-resistant plywood and protective coating help prevent damage, but it’s still best to keep liquids away. If a spill occurs, wipe it off with a soft cloth.

With a little care, your wooden furniture will keep its original look for many years to come.

Metal

The solid structure of your furniture

The matte black surface is a powder-coated finish applied to the metal. This type of coating is known for being durable and needs very little care. However, it’s best to avoid abrasive cleaning products. If light scratches appear, you can use a black touch-up marker — available in most hardware shops — to restore the surface.

For regular care:

  • Wipe away any spills straight away with a clean, dry cloth;
  • To keep the surface clean, use a soft cloth slightly dampened with warm water and a drop of mild soap, then dry it off gently;
  • Avoid using bleach or any products that contain sulphuric or hydrochloric acid;
  • Steer clear of abrasive sponges or brushes, as they can scratch the painted surface.

Upholstery

A material that brings warmth

Our upholstered pieces are made with Flannel by the Italian brand Editor – a 2023 innovation and one of their most refined, all-round fabrics. It’s exceptionally hard-wearing, tested to 50,000 Martindale and 100,000 Wyzenbeek cycles. Thanks to FiberGuard technology, the fibres resist everyday stains. Certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, the fabric is free from harmful chemicals and completely safe for people and pets.

The fabric can be machine-washed at 60°C. For stains that cannot be removed with water and a sponge, professional dry cleaning is recommended.

Spills such as tea, coffee or red wine can be cleaned easily if treated straight away:

  • Remove any remaining liquid with a spoon or a similar tool.
  • Apply a little water to the stain and blot gently with a white paper towel — do not rub. Repeat until no trace of the stain appears on the towel.
  • Add a little clean water and wipe carefully with a microfibre cloth. For more persistent stains, use a mild white soap, then rinse lightly with clean water.
  • Leave the fabric to dry naturally — never use a hairdryer or any other source of heat.

With proper care and maintenance, Susy pieces can endure just as long as their timeless designs, becoming cherished heirlooms for generations to come
